Was established in 2002. At that time Ted & Sherry were the proud owners of 6 Boston Terriers. They had acquired their dogs over a period of 6 years. When Ted & Sherry met, Sherry had a Bull mastiff named Kaylin. As Kaylin got older and began to mature and slow down the felt that it was time to get a companion for her. Ted noticed an ad for Boston Terriers and went to the shop to see them. He immediately fell head over heals for a little female puppy. He bought her. Time passed, Kaylin passed and Cleo was Ted's devoted companion for the next 10 years. Cleo has now left the Bricks and is very much missed to this day. Then came Dokara Dance Bojangles and his breeder Donna Tellier. "Bo" was placed with Ted & Sherry and they fulfilled their obligation to show him to his Championship. They had no intention on showing him further as they were not satisfied with his show career. Donna Tellier then asked that "Bo" be allowed to attend the Boston Specialty at Canada's largest dog show. The were concerned at who would be showing him, but Donna Cole was to take care of those arrangements so they agreed. "Bo" was handled at the Specialty by a woman from Eastern Canada and he actually made the first cut competing with a large group of Champion Dogs. He came home happy and healthy. Ted phoned the handler to thank her, as the reports they got from the show were indeed they way they felt that they should be. The handler, whom by the way we had still never met, told Ted that although "Bo" was cobbier and smaller than she personally like, she felt he had potential as a "Special" and should they decide to show him again she would be happy to represent them in the future. She also was interested in using "Bo" as a sire! They were excited after this as they had been told "Bo" did not have what it took to be a show dog anymore! Ted & Sherry decided to let "Bo" try the show thing one more time! They made arrangements to ship him back east and the "trial run" began. The first stop was the United States and "Bo" garnered a 4 point win!! Then back to Vancouver where he did nothing. Then on to Calgary where he won 3 Best of Breeds, back to Winnipeg (all this by air and he had never flown before) just to drive in the middle of February at 35 below to Thunder Bay Ontario. "Bo" took the Best of Breed and his first Group Placings each day of the Show! That was just the beginning. They continued to show "Bo" across Canada for nine more months. He came home in September and they finally got to meet "Bo's" handler KT. Bo and KT were scheduled to do a series of shows in the Interior of BC and they were so successful together that Ted & Sherry invited KT and her daughter to stay on and manage their Kennel of 6 dogs. After careful consideration, KT and Jamie agreed. Chaizel was truly born as a full fledged operating Kennel. It turned out that "Bo" was the Number 1 Boston Terrier Male in 2001, and Number 5 overall in 2002 after selective limited showing...after all we were busy building our new Kennel. In 2003 we relocated the Kennels to acreage outside of Vernon and since 2006 have been busy taking a piece of property and turning it into a fully functional Kennel facility. While we know that it will never be "done", it is comfortable for the dogs and the people now and continues to grow.ChaizelOur Dogs...Our Love...Our Passion.About Chaizel Boston Terriers and English Bulldogs:To our friend Hummer: Thank you for starting the Bulldog era, you will always be in our memories:
